Design refresh for a century-old publication on foreign policy and international affairs.
Since 1922, Foreign Affairs has been the foremost magazine for in-depth analysis and debate on foreign policy, geopolitics, and international issues. Published by the Council on Foreign Relations, a non-profit, nonpartisan organization, the magazine fosters a deep understanding of U.S. foreign policy and international relations through open, informed dialogue.
In honor of Foreign Affairs' 100th anniversary, we undertook a design refresh in 2022, collaborating with Commercial Type to redraw the iconic masthead. Drawing on elements from the magazine’s rich history, the refreshed design brings a streamlined elegance to the interior, enhancing readability and honoring a legacy of thoughtful discourse.
